"Music is a language of the heart without words." - Shinichi Suzuki

There are many studies that have been done that connect early music education and exposure with a sensory rich environment for brain development. This actually creates connections and stimulates neural pathways making them stronger in babies and young children. This can significantly improve the ability to learn and function in other areas as the child grows older. However, beginning musical training at any age has many benefits. The ongoing list of beneficial life skills includes: coordination, self discipline, perseverance, listening, fine motor skills, confidence, and learning to set goals. Of course, let's not to forget to mention the enjoyment and satisfaction of learning to play a wonderful instrument such as the piano!

Piano lessons:

Before beginning lessons you will need to have a piano that is good quality and regularly tuned. Parents of young beginners need to understand the importance of attending lessons and being able to assist the progress each week at home in between lessons. Your role is an important part of the team! There is a commitment to practice each day to ensure success. Take the time to include it as part of your daily routine early on and you will establish a good habit that will return good results.
